Terms of Service

RecycleLens is a free tool that suggests which bin an item likely goes in. By using it, you agree to these terms.

Guidance, not the final word

Recycling and disposal rules are set by your local hauler and city — they are the authority, not us. RecycleLens gives its best answer from public rules and AI, and for many places the guidance is a general baseline, not a verified local ruleset. Rules also change and vary block by block. When in doubt, confirm with your hauler or city. Follow all local laws for hazardous items (batteries, chemicals, electronics, sharps, etc.) — never put them in a curbside bin based on this tool alone.

No warranty

The service is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind. We don't guarantee that a verdict is accurate, complete, or current for your exact location.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, RecycleLens and its owner are not liable for any loss, fine, damage, or harm arising from your use of the tool or reliance on its verdicts. Your use is at your own risk.

Acceptable use

Use the tool for its intended purpose. Don't abuse, overload, scrape, reverse-engineer, or attempt to disrupt the service, and don't use it for anything unlawful. We may rate-limit or block access to protect the service.
